Sarnia Murder Suspect Hunt Intensifies

Wanted For Murder

Justice for Dane Nisbet: The Hunt for Kyaw “Chin” Doe Intensifies

It has been two weeks since the community of Sarnia was rocked by a senseless act of violence at Lambton College. On the night of April 10, 2026, 20-year-old Dane Nisbet, a beloved local and junior hockey player, was fatally shot outside the Lion’s Den pub. Two of his friends were also injured in the gunfire.

While Sarnia Police have already made three arrests in connection with the case, the man they believe pulled the trigger remains at large. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued, and a massive $25,000 reward initially on the table for information leading to his capture.

As of Friday the Sarnia Police have stated that the reward has gone up to $50,000 as a result of community donations.

The Suspect: Kyaw “Chin” Doe (Alias: “Leo King”)

Police have identified Kyaw Eh “Chin” Doe, 24, of London, Ontario, as the primary suspect. He faces charges of second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Authorities warn that Doe is armed and dangerous and is actively evading arrest with the help of associates.

Distinct Markings: New Photos Released

In an effort to crowd-source the search, investigators recently released high-resolution photos highlighting Doe’s distinct facial and body tattoos. Because these markings are difficult to hide, police are asking the public to be on the lookout for anyone wearing “out of season” clothing, such as neck warmers or balaclavas in the warming spring weather.

Key Identifiers:

  • Face: A small cross under the eye and a dagger through a heart also located near the eye area.
  • Body: A prominent tiger wearing a crown and a broken heart with angel wings on fire.
  • Hands: Additional tattoos on his hands and fingers.

Possible Locations & Search Efforts

While Doe’s last known address was on Boullee Street in London, police believe he has fled the immediate area. Current intelligence suggests he may be hiding in:

  • Northeast London: Police recently canvassed public housing complexes in this area where Doe has deep ties.
  • Northern Ontario: Authorities have noted connections to criminal elements in the north.
  • Western Ontario: Investigators are following leads across the region, suspecting he is moving between “safe houses” provided by associates.

“To Mr. Doe directly: Every time you go to sleep, know that there is a real possibility of being awakened to the light of a tactical team. You will be arrested.” — Chief Derek Davis, Sarnia Police Service

The Reward & How You Can Help

The Sarnia Police Service, in collaboration with the community, has announced a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the direct arrest of Kyaw Doe.

If you see him:

  • Do not approach. He is considered armed and dangerous.
  • Call 911 immediately.

Remembering Dane Nisbet

Beyond the tactical search, Sarnia remains in mourning. Dane is remembered by his teammates and family as a “well-respected team player” and a young man with a bright future. The recovery of the firearm—a smuggled Glock 45—has provided some forensic progress, but the community is clear: true closure cannot begin until the man responsible is behind bars.
