How to read this: A bush cord is 128 cubic feet of neatly stacked wood. A face cord is one 4-foot-high by 8-foot-long stack; its volume depends on log length. At 16-inch cuts, one face cord is about one-third of a bush cord (about 42.7 cubic feet).

This is an estimate of stacked volume. Irregular stacking, bark, gaps and uneven pile measurements can change the actual amount. “Face cord” dimensions can also vary by seller, so confirm the stated stack size before buying.
